OK...it's fucking obvious, that Shaen is gonna be the guy. Knowing that,it's prolly prudent for all,to hear THE fuck and see THE fuck. My phone is blowed up,today alone,in regards to these things.

Firstly: A Reamer List is needed and easily accessed

Secondly: Talk about recontouring blanks

Thirdly: Build pics will likely help all,to connect dots and make decisions

Fourthly: A List of Services and their Pricing

Purty much it.

Anybody got thunks?..................

Here is his website, and there is a price list under the "services" tab:

https://shaenrifles.com/
(760) 920-3990
shaenrifles@gmail.com

I'll work on getting some build pics for the two rifles (.300Win and .280AI) Shaen did for me.

Wellllll I KNEW that...but it ain't One-Stop Shopping!(grin)

I'd reckon more than a smidge of business will be generated here and it'd help most,to have the Meat and Taters staring them in the face.

I tend to think, like how I think and how I'd like to shop. It's easy to connect dots, when the dots is connected. MUCH to be said for a nice lay out, with all things crystal clear. A Reamer List extolling freebore, would certainly inspire my bidness...and I've seen me be good for bidness.

Black & White sells...............(grin)

Thank you guys for the good words. I’m glad the 22br is sorted, it was starting to stress me out.

About the to-do list. I know my website sucks. It’s like hearing your own voice when I go on it. I’ll type up my modest reamer list and post it here, along with pictures once I give image shack some money. Also need to send some $$ to the guys for the proposed forum upgrades.

Regarding reamers...If I don’t have what someone wants I’ll order it. I tend to order tighter in the neck and short in the throat, then open, lengthen accordingly. If someone isn’t sure what they want we’ll go Saami.

I can recontour barrels. My machines are manual and if I don’t have the contour mapped already I’ll need a barrel to duplicate. It’s a little time consuming but gets people out of a jam. $85-100. I need to update my services page but if someone needs something that’s not on there just ask. If I’m not comfortable doing it I’ll tell you.

Last thing, I love what I’m doing. I’m not the best or smartest. I have a lot to learn and I screw up. If something isn’t right or you’re not happy let me know and I’ll fix it. And if I’m not nice to you it’s because I don’t like you, and that happens.

I just like no bullshit info, staring me in the face, with all the shit that fucking matters.

Citing freebore specs,is a HUGE win. Mentioning that a chambering could be throated otherwise,is a HUGE win. Whispering that contours don't really make a fuck,is a HUGE win.(grin)

Correlating a freebore specification,to a loaded COAL with a given bullet of repute...would put you head and shoulders beyond others. That inkling would pave the path to receiver selection, feed mechanism selection and simply just what the fuck,do what. Most 'Smith's are 100% fucking CLUELESS in that regard and that envelopes ALL of the BIG "names". Hint.

Also...(brace yourself),you might wanna revisit the notion of twisting up Pre-Fit RemAge's and the ilk. That market is fucking huge and BOOMING. Mebbe in only Rem Mag Sporter and VS contours, but an inroad there is a SURE thing.

If Joe Average could peruse a few Forums and garner a hint,he could call and say "build me a 1-7" 223 that will kiss an 88 ELD from an MDT mag, leaving .075" to chase lands" and ALL would be on the same page.

Fact is...I want one too.................(grin)

A "GREATEST Hits" collage, would connect alotta dots too. Meaning a correlation of known chamberings,to highlighted results.

Lotsa folks are enthralled with case capacity, which is simply fucking funny.....................(grin)

Personally,I think it makes great bidness sense,to say I want "this".

It'll OWN the market and cut to the fucking chase.

If you guys have good blueprints (halibut for ex) list them and include an appropriately obscene name. Simple stuff that works. Dude270’s 6br is a good one.

My 6br is on a squared 700 SA.
1 in 8 twist Brux no.3 contour short shanked and finished at 20.5".
McMillan MR handle
PTG AICS bottom metal using 5 round accurate mags with primal guts.

It handles and balances very well and is an absolute no drama hammer with just about any 105 grain bullet.

Not sure it will be blueprint worthy, but got a Hawk Hill tube on order to send to Shaen in next month or so. Went #2 contour, 6.5 7 twist. Not catalogued but emailed them and they said they can twist it 7. Talked to Shaen and doing his .150 freebore on the 6.5 creedmoor vs the more saami'ish .199. 147 eld should hit lands at 2.8 or so with the .150.

Its going in a lefty 700 sitting in a McMillan classic edge. Daughter's rig. Going to have a low round count Hart 260 remington chambered barrel when done with the project. May have to see if he can use it later to have a backup 6.5-06 barrel on hand.

That'll be a nice build. I've yet to suffer a throat that was "too short",but certainly have had piles of 'em wayyyy too long...if only because factories stay up late,to assure same.(grin) .150" freebore is certainly a step in the right direction.

The 6.5-06 won't clean up the 260 spout. 260AI,264-ShamWow,6.5-284,PRC,etc. would. I'd trip it and start from scratch. Barrels are cheap.

Am thinking hard about yarding a Purple 25-284 apart,to yield a MR-esque contoured Faux Ti 224 Kreedmire at 22" and 7.5 or so RPM................

Well, I couldn't find the thread where we were talking about my 280AI that Shaen rebarreled, with a barrel from gbp (thanks both of you).

It was shooting like shit, and hopefully I was really clear that the issue was between the trigger and bench. I sort of got my shit together and got a rail in the mail this week to put a different scope on it. Ended up using the SWFA 3-9 for that, and it isn't horridly heavy. Should score another for the fieldcraft.

I was at the store, grabbing some factory creed ammo just to see if I can get out of pulling a lever, and saw some factory 280AI stuff, so grabbed it to get the scope zeroed. Got it dialed in and shot 3 for a group.

Figured that was probably a fluke, so shot another.

I think I measured them at .4 and .6 and change each. Figure that will probably work for a featherweight 280AI.

Got this in from Cali a few weeks ago. Haven’t had the time to get out and hurt feelers with it or post pics, but it’s looking WAY more than capable....

6 BRX .120 freebore .292 neck
Bighorn TL3
Hawk Hill 7 twist Marksman
Trigger Tech Diamond
KRG Bravo temporarily

108s running 2970 on FF’d brass don’t suck. Trued DOPE out to 1200 and reckon it’ll make the cut. Top plate is 3 @ 600, second is 1k with a 1/10 put in after the first shot low. Long as this fucker keeps it up and stays outta the welding business, we’ll be alright....grin....

Creedmoor still shoots about anything I put in it. Didn't shoot much today and only shot one load I was testing in the Creedmoor due to 90 and sunny. Hate summer.

RL26 45 grains, 147 ELD, 6.5 creedmoor

Going to chrono it and 46 grains RL26 tomorrow before it hits 90 again. Found the once fired brass let me get another grain in there. Curious to see what once fired does after neck sizing. Will post speed in am.

Left the truck running with the air on and fired 3 more rounds of the 147 eld, better than working. Actually kind of nice with no one around on a hot afternoon. Group size about same with 45.5 of RL26, kissing at 2.81, 2700 fps for the 147 eld out of a 22" tube. The 140 vld shot damn near as good but want to try the 147 this fall for her elk.

I tried not to pimp it, but I couldn't help it. Shaen is shipping it back to me again today. This is last time he gets his hands on this barreled action for a few thousand rounds. Love that smoke cerakote color and figured I'd have Shaen take a run at it. Liking it in pics a lot.

Got out to Huntsman22's place tonight with the daughter for some long range shooting and close range pizza eating. Had a great time as always.

The 6.5 Creedmoor that Shaen built for my daughter has been shooting great for me but it was time to get her on the trigger again. I had found two accuracy nodes, one at 2570 fps and one at 2700 fps. So thought I'd have her shoot up some of the 2570 fps stuff tonight. These with 147 ELD.

Started out at 400 yards and it was like cheating. Pushed her out to 600 yards and couldn't miss still. Let the barrel cool a bit and had her go to 800. Had a 12-15 mph wind hitting us at about 10 o'clock. My wind read was off a bit but had her run 4 at 800 anyway. Probably 3-4 inch group.

Not bad for conditions.

Really pleased with Shaen's work on this rig.
