Can anyone help me out with a freebore number for a 7/08 and 180 combo, in a 2.950” or so magazine?

If you are buying,get a Fieldcraft.

If you are building,send a dummy with CLEAR instructions..."I want to kiss the 180 ELD at the supplied COAL,.015" in".

Roger, and thanks. I'm buying another barrel for rifles I already have. Plan to check NSS first, with Bugholes as a backup. Trying to avoid exercising my patience if possible.

James won't have an 8" 7-08 in stock...I've been beating that drum long and loud,for sometime. Nor a 280.(grin)

You can always call Shaen and bat your lashes at him.

Should add...that while James is certainly great,he's not spec'ing chamber/throat dimensions and that's all Criterion(thus far). He did quiz me on 22 Kreedmire spec's the last time I ordered a spout,but that ball wasn't rolling yet. He is VERY handy with freebore dimensions and can cite that which is available to him.

Greg on the other hand,can EASILY do whatever the hell you want and is certainly amongst he best,but it won't be "quick".

Mebbe call the guy in Kalifornia...............

On a smilar note, willl a factory Remington 700 7mm08 spin a 180 or should I just stick with the 162s?

Hi Carl, zero throat has been working great for 7-08 saami and ai. You can eek a bit more if running binderless but I’d much rather someone call me complaining about a short throat than long. Some people like to see a throat spec and are alarmed when I say zero, so
.0000000000003” throat.

I've YET to have one that was"too short".

I'd not want more than .100",in said equation................
