I've been practicing up with my bow and I'm wondering where I should shoot a black bear.. Lung shot, right behind the shoulder? I'm ready to kill something..
Quartering away, to sink the broadhead in the offside leg works not bad...Seen it do not bad once or twice...
You *can* kill one by driving a tough broadhead through the shoulder blade, but you have to be really close......As in, nock still on the string close....Ask me how I know......grin
Maybe 50yds. When we skinned him, there was a neat, triangle shaped hole through the hide on both sides. I think Bill lunged him, with a passthrough, but the shaft broke and the feathered end was laying with the bear.
