I wish they would have dropped the QD nonsense, and went recessed T30 torx.

Looking at the picture, it looks like there might be hope that these are lower than normal? I desperately wish people would get away from the 1.5" height for one-piece mounts. I'd be all over a 1.25-1.35" setup.

Nope. 1.5”. I hate it. Very few people use a scope with a 56mm objective on it. Like you, I’d rather see 1.25”-ish.
