Options for mis aligned mount holes

I've got a long action 700 with mount holes well out of line. Wanted to use Talleys but I can't get near centered with the scope windage bottomed out. When I bought this thing it had a windage adjustable base on it.

Other that going back to a windage base or Signature rings with the offsets are there any other options for this situation?

Wish one of you rocket surgeon machinists would figger out how to modify Talleys for the Burris inserts.

I don't understand why everything isn't 8-40 anyway. cept kimber.
So that those who care can clean up the 6-48 misaligned holes as needed......

I've had a couple of these misaligned miscreants and going 8-40 has been a cheap and easy solution. A call to Talley has always provided the modified rings to my door at no additional cost.

8-40's won't clean up a real bad one.

DD Signatures always wil...as they'll toss you some serious sidewayzee.

Them is tough "odds" to beat, for 2 extry ounces.
