Picked one up yesterday for the girlfriend down south. Complaining about the 22 lr not killing the armadillos tearing up her yard when hit other than the head. Hopefully this 17 hmr will poke a hole in their armor.

This guy didn't care for .22lr, 40gr subsonics at that. Still had a through and through and enough velocity to ding a shed 30yards after it skipped off the ground.

It certainly isn't the most "humane" choice in cartridge, but it does deprive their little brains of oxygen eventually...

I have two 6x mil dots lying around. She can suffer one of them.

That'll trump any/all things Reupold,but is a concession to the MQ.

With a 125yd zero and 17gr V-Max at 2525fps in my 18" .720" LW Hummer,the MQ windshield grants the 450yd line. In a target RICH environment,the ability to engage from 10' to 450yds+,by only looking through the windshield,prolly don't hurt the equation.

At least it didn't yesterday......................(grin)
