Nice having such a huge airshow in town, since we don't get to see these types of planes very often in Wisconsin. I made it out for a few days and have enjoyed the random flybys that happen constantly. No current bombers this year, but it was billed as the year of the fighter. F15, Blue Angels and Thunderbirds both did flybys on their way to other airshows, EA-18, F-22 Demo team, F-35 demo team, A10 demo team, both flying B29's, all registered P51 mustangs were invited and they had 17 up on afternoon, B25's, B17's, C47s, Skyraiders, Corsairs, C5, KC46, EA-18 Growler, etc. They bring in tons of old warbirds, vintage planes, pretty much anything you can imagine...basically way too much shit to list or remember. For guys who fly, this apparently is on a lot of their bucketlists. For people like me I just love going out and seeing the stuff on the ground and in the air shows.

Critique away.

All of those were with the Canon 5d3 and Sigma 150-600 Contemporary. The fireworks was using the 16-35 f/4. I've got a ton more to go through yet so I'll ad some more when I get through them

Thanks everyone!

Wireman, I like it a lot so far. I know that I could have bought a canon trombone for a little less but i wanted the extra 200mm for birds and planes. For $900 I am thrilled with it. I calibrated it using the sigma dock, tried to keep shutter speeds around 1/2000, used zone autofocus and wound up with a lot of keepers. Tracking props at 1/125 had a few less keepers but i still got plenty.

Skadoo, I never get tired of it either!

On Monday they did a heritage flight with a pair of mustangs, pair of F35-a's, pair of warthogs and a solo raptor. After the two slow passes, everyone landed but the raptor and lightnings. The next 20 minutes was them doing tight loops/fly bys. It was pretty fucking awesome getting rattled by the afterburners over and over.

Awesome! We get F22 demos pretty frequently, but there is something about those old birds.

Love the old & new formations.

Really like the the p51 something about those 50cals I believe that’s where the whistle comes from like blowing air over a pop bottle.

Cool pics.

Saw the A10 & what must have been the P51 flying around with the F22 or F35 (not sure which) Friday when I stopped at the outlet mall on the way through.
