.......is pretty damn tough to beat.

Shaen, if you ever find yourself slumming it in the Chicago area the beef and brew is on me.

Rifle arrived today, looks perfect. As expected I had to take a little out of the barrel channel to accomodate the slightly larger spout but that didn’t take 5 minutes.

I’ll get a couple pix up when I get the scope back.

Thankyou sir!

He's probably going to be getting a little busy. Trying him for cerakote shortly.

I’ll get pix up after the scope comes in.

I finally got off my ass and used the H&H length Winchester donor that’s been kicking around.

7 Rem Mag, Bartlien # 4, 8 twist 5R.
Should be well suited for the 180gr class bullets out there.

The Curtis Axiom showed up yesterday. Looks nice at first glance. Typical heavy bolt lift for a three lug but not bad. Nice rail and two-pinned lug included. It’s going in an A5, Rem Varmint, 6.5 Creed, Curtis DBM.

Sounds solid. Favorite action thus far?

I'm gonna need you to build me a 224 Kreedmire and I'd just as soon go Montucky dupe...but forgot about a 700 Donor I just found laying around. I could go .100" freebore on this one,if only to keep numbers round. Need a seater stub Cerakoted(you pick the color),Kenworth shifter and the handle TIG'd.

Can you clip slot for a Marty rail? If so,I'd want it TIG'd too, because it'll probably get used more than a smidge.

PS and by the way, fire up your Dupe Contouring Lathe, because I like to keep your spirits up! Figure on 22" and MR-esque at most,or straight up Montucky.....................(grin)

I can do all that, and love an excuse to weld on a gun. I recontoured a big Bart yesterday, not because I wanted to. Kinda modified the #2 profile I had to work in the m70 stock. .620 at 22”.

Favorite action is that rusty boat 700! Or a stupid smooth 722. Need to find a rusty short action. After that probably defiance deviant. They’re solid without a bunch of “features”.

GrandBaby NEEDS a 224 Kreedmire. I'll look and see what Greg has for spouts. There's also a .378" bolt on the bench, that I've been meaning to mail for months(needs bushed).

Would you rather TIG an OEM handle in place,or knock it loose and replace? I'm thinking added length/leverage of a replacement, might help a 7 month old.(grin)

I'm thinking the receiver is S/S,but sometimes it's tough to see through the paint!......................

I have some ptg handles but don’t like them. The cam is not right for the angle/root of the handle and they come straight out instead of dropping first, like oem. I weld up and regrind the cam anyway.

We prolly need to do a Fucking Forum Build, with zero bullshit and LOTSA traction...pun be intended.

I reckon a 224 Speedmire would be an easy win.

700 based, single contour, single throat, single twist and NO bullshit. I'd say Rem Sporter,.100",1-7" and all could drive their favorite stocks/glass etc.

Just thread and shred, fuck Cerakote and the Fluff...just keeping it all Meat & Taters,so everyone can play.

I know a few folks.................(grin)
