I’m still slumming no less than 3 mini’s with factory Grendel barrels I bought for donors for 22 and 6 Grendel’s. The mags aren’t horrid but they are THE stumbling block for me going any further. DIP makes bottom metal and I sure as shit wish they’d make a floorplate version.

CDI lists a conversion to AICS mags but I've never heard any details.

I bet it don't suck. I'd be happier with AR mags in 224 and 243 Grendel,in 264 the AICS will certainly do favors...........

I bought a Howa mini in 223, I thought it had the floor plate, but it came with that ignorant propriety mag. I may get rid of it.

If one steps back and looks at all manufacturer's efforts...it's rather fucking AMAZING,just how shitty of a job they do connecting dots................

And it fits in one sentence:
"Loaded for the longest bullet available, the completed round must touch the lands in a properly twisted barrel and fit in the mag box with .100" space for throat wear."

Maybe 100 thou is debatable; pick a number.

But these manufacturers still deliver rifles with stocks designed for iron sights and chambered for rounds that hold North of 100 grains of water.

None of it's difficult,which only adds to the humor..........(grin)
