Remage action question

Is it worth it to get the quick and dirty trued action from NSS? Anyone had good luck with an untouched action?

I've done it both ways though my trued actions were worked over more than the NSS ones are. All of them shoot well.

What is trued? The threads are factory aren't they or you couldn't just screw on one of these barrels to a factory action or you couldn't recut the threads on an action and have a barrel fit?

The receiver face and lugs are squared up. Some offer .010" oversize threads on RemAge spouts,to account for trued threads...but that's Pandora's Box IMHO.

Keep shit simple.

Throw a barrel on the bitch and run it......................

Yep. That’s why I said quick and dirty as they don’t touch the threads.

Not sure about the application yet. I’ve got enough 260s in hunting rifles I thought this one I’d go specifically for long range but not a sewer pipe (no taper) like what’s on my Savage. Thing is more than a chunk.

I’ve got too much time on my hands so thinking guns keeps me occupied for a little bit.
