Seems like we should have a sheep thread.

I'll start.

Shorty Fieldcraft 6.5 Creedmoor with SS10x42. 143ELDX factory Hornady's at 250 yards. Hit a bit of spine, both lungs, and lights were out nearly instantly.

Not the biggest ram in the world, but a great ram in my book.

They’re big suckers aren’t they?!

CWH, other than a bloody nose I can’t see any wound. Did you take him in a fist fight?

Sheep are amazing creatures given their ability to thrive in terrain with far more vertical than horizontal. Same could be said of those that can get within a couple football fields of 'em and then pack 'em out...

Congrats on a fine ram!

Kimber Ascent 6.5 creed, 147's @ 2700 fps, 6x chicken.
The youngster gave him 3 warning shots from a 300 win Salvage, shooting 180 partition, before I asked him if he was done fucking around...
Helio Courier 395, mostly original other than 31" Bushwheels and carbon fiber interior.
Sheep was 38" not that heavy and aged at 11 years.

When did your cub grow into a courier?! That thing is sexy.
Well, I had a mishap and parked it up side down back in 2016. I was building an H-250 when the insurance adjuster came over to my Hanger to finialize the claim on my cub. He saw my H-250 and told me he would make me a deal on the 395 that crashed in Bethel. Turns out I'm an international Helio slut. I'm up to 4 now, Water World Helio, and I just cut a check for a 395 in the Philippines. The Cub is going back together as an experimental when i find time to get serious about it, It will have long wings, 102" flaps, high compression 0360, electronic ignition, Increased AOI, L21, removable dog leg, and lots of other shit.

You will have a solid aircraft with a fresh engine for less then what you would be into a beater cub for, plus you'll be able haul the family around. Shit I'll even take payments and help you finish the build in my hanger.

What's the odds of getting a sheep tag in AK?

Down here (granted I don't follow it closely or anything), all I ever hear about is that it takes $250k or 30+ years of lotteries to snag one.

As a non-resident, you have to hunt with a guide. So the odds are good, but 15-20K (guessing). As a resident, its an over the counter free tag that you just pick up. There are areas that are drawing, and odds vary... a lot. You can put in for those, and if you don't draw, hunt the open areas.

Um... ok.

For some reason I get REALLY interested in flying again every year around the same time.

Thanks fellas. Yeah I've never heard or seen one been killed with an AR before so I figured might as well give it a wack...

More tape the better right? Learned poorly from Stick and the crew down there in the wetlands..
